I've been inspired by the psychological concept of apophenia. It describes the human tendency to perceive patterns, connections, or meaningful relationships in randoms or unrelated information. This concept proves invaluable when exploring how individuals make sense of the world and derive meaning from diverse experiences.

Typically, this phenomenon occurs when an ordinary thing unexpectedly resembles something familiar, like a tree stump resembling a human face. In this collection, it's more akin to an object resembling a feeling. Rather than resisting this inherent tendency, I embrace and explore it. Over time, these objects transform into markers of my history, challenges to my values, or becomes a form of self-portraiture.
